B&M Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Risk Data Specialist to conduct cybersecurity data analytics of complex Federal networks, systems, and applications across various cloud and non-cloud hosting environments. In this role, the successful candidate will lead or support efforts related to systems, asset, and data inventory development and maintenance; vulnerability dashboarding and reporting; security architecture; and application health and risk monitoring. Ideal candidates must be highly knowledgeable in security principles, how they apply to system architectures, and the various analytical methods utilized to identify and analyze cybersecurity risk.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Development and Maintenance

  • Perform data analytics in support of the creation and maintenance of systems, asset, and data inventories.

  • Identify and recommend data attributes for tracking in the inventories.

  • Support the incorporation of data from automated sources into systems, asset, and data inventories by helping to evaluate the completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness of data sources.

 

Vulnerability Dashboards and Reporting

  • Support the development and continuous enhancement of vulnerability dashboards and reports by helping to identify appropriate and actionable data for target stakeholders.

  • Assist with the design of dashboard views, reports, and alerts for different audiences.

 

Security Architecture

  • Support efforts to monitor and evaluate the alignment of Federal systems and applications to Federal architecture requirements.

  • Perform data analytics and reporting in support of secure configuration compliance monitoring efforts.

 

Application Monitoring

  • Perform data analytics in support of application health and risk monitoring.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in IT, data science, business or related field.

  • 5+ years of fulltime work experience performing cybersecurity or data analytics work in the Federal environment.

  • Ability to assist team members and stakeholders in data analysis and reporting related to cybersecurity risk and related areas (vulnerability management, secure configuration, etc.).

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact diplomatically with clients and peers.

 

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency in Federal information security standards and methodologies, including FISMA requirements, OMB standards and guidelines, and NIST Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) Publications and Special Publications.

  • Experience with Tenable, Tanium, and ServiceNow.

 

Citizenship Requirements
